I'm currently reading Neil Cole's "Organic Church". He recalls a meeting that took place with some Janpanese Leaders where there was no agenda other than to seek God and links it to the Bible passage where Jesus told his followers to return to the city and do nothing but wait for the Spirit.
How different things might be in the Circuit today (maybe in the whole church) if in our meetings we came before God and waited for his Spirit to guide us, rather than insisting on a clear and fixed agenda to cover what we want to look at!
Maybe we still have so much to learn from the Quakers.
